Helmet for Rocco

Gino and I brought Rocco to the plastic surgeon today so that we could get a diagnosis on his head. He has Plagiocephaly (big word, I know!) but it is just a fancy word for the flattening of the head which has caused his head to be asymmetrical. No big deal...he is going to have to wear a helmet for 8 weeks or so until it corrects the problem. This happens often in infants that are born with torticollis, a condition in which a tight or shortened muscle on one side of the neck causes the head to tilt to one side. Dr. Rogers told us that Rocco was most likely scrunched up in utero on his right side. He has a slight case of torticollis that will correct itself on it's own. After the appointment we had to go and get a scan of his head so that they can fit him for his helmet. Here are a few pictures. Oh and we got to pick out the helmet, it will be camouflage!!!

I have a small Harley helmet he can use. Do you care if it has fake bullet holes in it?
