Enza smiles!!

Enza smiled at me on Friday, August 17th.  She was 3 weeks, 1 day old.  It was so cute!  I finally caught it on video the other night while talking to her.  It's a quick one, it's really hard to catch her doing it.

Noni & Poppy came Tuesday so we went to the beach, it was Enza's first trip to the beach!

I had a little photo shoot with Enza on my birthday.  I bought her the cutest tutu and head band and a cute diaper cover with her name embroidered on it.  Not as good as Uncle Tony's pics but I tried!!

My 36th Birthday

I had a great 36th birthday, the boys made me a memory box, bracelets and a yummy cake with LOTS of sprinkles!!  Here are some pics...

Enza Four Days Old

Enza had her first doctor appointment with Dr. Rahim yesterday, 4 days old.  Enza was 8lbs, 3oz when she was born, when she left the hospital at 2 days old Saturday she weighed 7lbs 10 oz.  Her first stats at 4 days old:

Weight 7lbs. 11oz, 60%
Length 19 1/2 inches, 50% (she was 20 inches at birth, not sure what happened)
Head Circumference, 85% (right on track with the Spinelli head!)

Enza has jaundice so we had to get blood drawn both yesterday and today.  Her levels are high but so far not high enough for phototherapy.  We go back again tomorrow for another blood draw and find out where she is.  Hopefully we won't have to be readmitted to the hospital.  Everything else with her looks great, she is just perfect!!

Enza Lucia Spinelli

Enza was finally born!!  I had my 39 week appointment on Thursday, July 26th and my doctor decided to send me to the hospital to get my water broken.  I was already 5-6 cm dilated and silently contracting which was great because I wasn't in any pain yet.  When they checked me at the hospital I was 7-8 cm dilated.  I got the epidural and they broke my water at 2:30, Enza was born at 6:27PM on 7/26/12.  She was 8 lbs 3 oz and 20 inches long.

39 Weeks

Who would have thought that I would still be pregnant at 39 weeks???  NOT ME!  I can't even believe that after the doctors were so concerned about me going early that we are still waiting for Enza to arrive.  After bi weekly cervical length checks, weekly Progesterone shots from 18 weeks, and 5 weeks of bed rest still NO BABY!!

We are so anxious to meet our little princess and every day I think will be the day!  Last Friday at my weekly appointment I was 4.5 cm dilated, 80% effaced and Enza was at -1 which is one station from being engaged. (relates to baby dropping) It's crazy to think that I am still walking around carrying her on Tuesday.  I have tried it all, walks, the beach, target with the boys, the farm with the boys, cooking, cleaning, laundry, spicy food, etc and NOTHING has worked. 

Let's hope we get to meet Enza before the weekend!!  We are well prepared with someone staying with us so that Gino and I can just get to the hospital without worrying about bringing the boys. THANK YOU to my mom and the Spinelli's for hanging out with us.

37 Weeks, 2 Days

I have been off bed rest since Tuesday, well I cheated a little bit Monday and made dinner and did the dishes.  It has been great!!  My leg muscles feel a little weak from sitting for 5 weeks in a chair all day but hopefully they won't take long to get back to normal.  I now can pick up Rocco an Lucca, get the boys ready in the morning, help Rocco on the potty, do laundry, make dinner, do the dishes, do bedtime.  I missed doing so many of these but especially just getting back to normal with the boys.  You can tell they are really happy about it too!

My mom is coming tonight so she can babysit Rocco and Lucca tomorrow so Gino and I are going out on a mini date!!  We haven't been out without the boys for a really long time so even just an hour or so will be nice.  Maybe some ice cream and a stroll through the common! 

Come on Enza....we are waiting for you!!!!!!!

36 Weeks, 3 Day Update

I had my 36 week appointment today and everything is still looking good with Enza. I am 3cm dilated and 50% effaced, Dr. Vasilakas said now I just need to go into labor. I had a non stress test today too which just monitored Enza's heart rate and movement and any contractions that I had. Everything looked great! Tuesday, July 10th I am officially OFF bed rest. WAHOOO!!!!!!! She recommended I still work from home to eliminate the stress of a commute and I am okay with that. I just want to get up and move around whenever I want and pick up Rocco and Lucca if they need me to and give them BIG HUGS! Also had my blood drawn to see if I am anemic, I got cool green dinosaur tape after too. Check it out!!

Presents for Enza!!

Rocco and Lucca glued shapes on bags and made cards for Enza.  They each put a lovey in their bags and Rocco picked out a toy for her car seat.  They had so much fun and can't wait for her arrival!
